Plot : The movie is based on a true story that revolves around a German businessman (Ulrich Tukur) who saved the life of more than 200,000 Chinese during the Nanjing massacre. When the Imperial Japanese Army attacked China, John Rabe helped the people of the capital city of Nanking. John Rabe is the manager of a Chinese company as well as the resident of the country for the past 27 years. Along with other associates of foreign communities which consist of doctors and missionaries, Rabe tries to aid simple humanitarian concerns. They were upset at the awful behavior of Germany's Asian allies. Rabe helped the Chinese because of his love for the country and the people with whom he had worked for so long. This incredible moment in history is remembered till date as the "Nanjing Massacre." The movie ends with John Rabe celebrating his farewell, carrying a small bag, as he is accompanied by a troop of Japanese, through the ruins of Nanjing to the port.
