Plot : I’ve Loved You So Long is a mystery drama directed by Philippe Claudel, about a woman who struggles to rebuild her relation with her estranged sister after 15 years of imprisonment. Juliette (Kristen Scott Thomas) recently released after spending 15 years behind bars, has no place to go. It is then that her younger sister, Léa, opens the doors of her house for her and takes Juliette in. Lea’s husband, Luc however is not happy with the arrangement but their two young girls are thrilled to have a new aunt. Lea makes her sister feel welcomed and helps her in settling down while her friends Michel and emigrant couple Samir and Kaïsha help Juliette in readjusting to life on the outside. As the two sisters reconnect they also rediscover, what it means to be a family.
