Plot : I Hate Valentine’s Day, a romantic comedy directed by Nia Vardalos, is about a florist in Manhattan who finds herself wanting to break her own rules of dating after meeting a new restaurateur in town. Genevieve (Nia Vardalos) is a romantic, carefree florist, who strictly follows the “five dates” rule she has set for herself. After going on a date with a guy five times, she normally ends her relationship with the guy. So far, she has never had any qualms about using this method which has worked like magic for her. But when Genevieve meets Greg (John Corbett), everything changes and she finds herself tempted to break her own rule as by the time her fifth date with Greg comes to an end, she inexplicably wants to spend more time with him. Will Genevieve let go of her set habit of five dates, long enough to understand that she's fallen in love? Will she finally realize the fact that some guys are worth keeping around for lifetime?
