Plot : Director Luca Guadagnino takes us back to the time of the beginning of the new millennium in Milan; with I am love, the impeccable art and drama film. The story revolves around the established Recchi family, who run their family business of manufacturing textiles. The movie starts with the eldest male member of the family, Edoardo Sr. (Gabriele Ferzetti) who distributes the family business among his son, Tancredi (Pippo Delbono) and grandson Edoardo Jr. (Flavio Parenti). Tancredi’s wife Emma is not delighted with her father-in-law’s decision. She then also finds out that her daughter is a homosexual. When Antonia, Edoardo Jr.’s friend, visits the dinner party hosted by Eduardo Sr., Emma falls for him and is later seen at his eatery, eating a prawn dish that’s prepared by him. After knowing the place where she can meet Antonio, Emma goes to San Remo. Much to her pleasure, she meets Antonio there. The two head to Antonio’s place and begin their relationship. On her second visit to Antonio’s place, Emma suggests him to prepare Edoardo Jr.’s favorite dish at a business dinner. When Edoardo Jr. relishes that dish at the dinner party, he gets to know about Emma’s stay at Antonio’s home. Things seem to fall in place for Emma as Edoardo gets to know about her relationship with Antonio. In a furious state, he moves away from the dinner table and eventually dies, after suffering from a serious injury on his head as he falls down. Watch out the movie as this family drama takes you on a never-ending joyride.
