Plot : Hellboy is a supernatural action movie based on the the Dark Horse Comic series of Mike Mignola. The movie starts during the last days of World War II, when the Nazis performed a sacred ritual involving black magic. While performing them, an evil Russian monk Grigori Rasputin accidentally summoned a twisted and evil monster. The Allies raid the camp and Prof. Trevor "Broom" Bruttenholm rescues him. The expert in the occult raises him and makes him fight against the evil instead of going with it, the purpose for which he was created. This monstrous creature with red face and horns comes to be known as Hellboy and becomes a part of Dr. Bruttenholm's secret Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.). He along with his girlfriend fire-throwing Liz Sherman (Selma Blair) and telepathic "Mer-Man" Abe Sapien fight the evil and defend the world secretly. One day the villainous Rasputin returns to take Hellboy back. Now our superhero pairs with an idealistic new agent of FBI named John Myers (Rupert Evans) to save the world. An interesting love triangle also comes up.
