Plot : Goodbye Solo is a comedy drama directed by Ramin Bahrani about a taxi driver who tries to prevent an old man from committing suicide. Solo (Souléymane Sy Savané) is a Senegalese cab driver living in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and is hired by a 70-year old man named William (Red West). William wants Solo to drive him to a mountain top in two-weeks, where he intends to commit suicide. As Solo realizes the intentions of his passenger, he tries to develop a friendship with him, in order to make him change his mind. During the course of the journey, as Solo learns more about the deep hurt that has forced William to take the most drastic step, the two strangers develop an unlikely friendship.
