Plot :  Ghosts of the Heartland is a thrilling mystery drama, directed by Allen Blumberg, about a big city reporter, who with the hope of  winning a Pulitzer price with his next story, returns to his serene hometown, which unknown to him  is under the iron fist rule of his old nemesis. Set in 1952, the story revolves around Roland Lu as he heads back to his hometown of Millville. During his last visit to Millville, someone had been killed and now it seems that with his return, history may repeat itself. Roland finds his family and friends to be living in constant fear of Frank Dugan whose rule has reminded the Chinese population of Millville, of the harassment suffered by the Jewish population in Nazi Germany. Given his self-loathing for being an Asian, Roland’s girlfriend Liz is convinced that he will soon surrender to obtain his literary award and become a part of the white society. But Roland plans to bring down Duncan to get to the top.
