Plot : Failure to Launch is a romantic comedy revolving around a life of a 35 year old man. Tripp (Matthew McConaughey) is a sports enthusiast who works as a boat salesman. The only problem with his life is that he still lives with his parents. His parents Al and Sue (Terry Bradshaw and Kathy Bates) want him out of their house. Thus to fulfill their motive they hire an interventionist Paula (Sarah Jessica Parker) who is sharp enough to do this work. She knows all the tricks like getting him to ask her out, delaying sex and a lot more of them to launch Tripp. As planned, Tripp meets Paula and falls for her. Every thing is going very well between them for some time. Trouble ensues when Tripp’s friend Ace (Justin Bartha) finds out the truth and threatens to reveal it to him. Paula easily gets out of this obstacle by bartering her room-mate Kit (Zooey Deschanel) in return of his silence. When she starts thinking that every thing is going well, Tripp comes to know the truth from another source and finally they split. During this period they realize that they actually love each other.
