Plot : “Extraordinary Measures” is a heart-rending drama directed by Tom Vaughan. This movie is about a couple, who wants to save their children at any cost from a deadly Pompo disease. John Crowley, the father of two children, who are aged 6 and 8, establishes a medical research company with a researcher, so that he can find the cure antics for his dying kids. The researcher, Robert Stonehill, actually knows how to carry out the experiments in order to prepare the enzyme treatment, but unfortunately, he’s not having the required money to do that. Then John offers Stonehill funding for his research and in return he demands Stonehill’s research to cure his children. The entire Extraordinary Measures video highlights the efforts carried out by John to cure his kids’ rare genetic disorder. Even after funding the research, a lot of hurdles like Stonehill’s thorny behavior and profit motives arise as obstacles in John’s way. This movie, apart from highlighting the struggle of parents, who’re ready to do anything for their kids, explains the way medical researches are conducted and the complications which researchers have to face in order to convert their theories into practical form.
