Plot : Evan Almighty is a comical drama directed by Tom Shadyac. The story revolves around a man named Evan. Leading his life as a newsman in Buffalo he was continuously beleaguered by his rival Bruce Nolan. With the passage of time, he makes up his mind to switch on to bigger things instead of those cheesy fights. His fate brings him to the politics and fortunately he gets elected as a Congressman of Washington D.C. This persuades him to leave Buffalo, NY and he propels his family to northern Virginia. But this calling doesn’t serve him the illustrious ranks of America’s politics, rather gets beckoned by the Almighty himself, who has given him the task of building a new ark. Evan’s life get upside down and his mystified family just can’t decide whether Evan is having an extraordinary mid-life crisis or is truly onto something of Biblical proportions.
