Plot : Enter the Void is an interesting story of the strong bonding between a brother and his sister. The story revolves around Oscar and his sister Linda. The two siblings had a difficult childhood as their parents died in a terrible accident when they were very young. The two were then separated and adopted by different foster parents. Before they parted, Oscar made a promise to his little sister that he would always be around to protect her and watch over her, even if he died. Little did both of them know that these innocent words said in their childhood would become Oscar’s reality one day! Years later, Oscar and Linda move to Tokyo. He is a drug dealer and Linda is a stripper in a night club called “Enter the void”. One fateful day, Oscar is caught by the police and shot dead in an encounter while he was hiding his drugs in a washroom. Even though his soul has left his physical body, Oscar is still in a state of unrest and finds that he is unable to move on to the next level until he ensures that his kid sister Linda is secure and safe. He floats around the whole city and watches over Linda. After her brother’s tragic demise, Linda feels very lonely and tries to fill the void in her life by sleeping around with strangers. There is some great visual imagery used in the movie to depict Oscar’s state of trance between life and death.
