Plot : Earth Made of Glass is an electrifying account of the unlikely merging between an ordinary citizen and the president of a nation, when their paths for justice, cross. The movie is set in Rwanda in the year 2008. Paul Kagame, the president of Rwanda, takes the world by storm, when he reveals a well-hidden secret about the involvement of the French Government in the dreadful Rwandan genocide of 1994. This leads to a political outrage against him, the target of whom is Rose Kabuye, his closest friend and political aide. Rose is arrested on the grounds of terrorism, which is a clear act of revenge by the government against Paul. Meanwhile, a fifteen-year old boy, Jean-Pierre is embroiled in a muddle of his own, when his father gets murdered, leading him to embark on a search for the man behind the murder. President Kagame sets off to free Rose from the clutches of the French government, while Jean breaks against all odds and transcends all impediments to fulfill his mission and bring justice to his deceased father. Interestingly, Jean and Kagame are pursuing the same foes, despite being oblivious of their unified mission. While Kagame’s intent is to protect an entire nation, Jean is fighting for a single family. The movie manages to bring both these intentions together magnificently, hence establishing that the battle fought by a nation, is in fact a battle fought by every single family in that nation. The biggest lesson that you’ll learn as you watch Earth Made of Glass online, is that of forgiveness. As the two unlikely heroes in the movie forgive their deadliest enemies, they take a significant step towards peace, not just in Africa, but in the entire world!
