Plot : Disgrace is an incredible drama movie being directed by Steve Jacobs. The storyline of this movie moves around a Cape Town based twice-divorced English professor David, who while teaching romantic poets, seduces one of his students, Melanie. But she is anxious about this relation and there is clearly an inequality of power. As a result of his relation with the student, David is forced to resign his teaching post. Then he goes to live with his adult lesbian daughter Lucy, who shares a farm in the Eastern Cape with trusted black worker Petrus. While living with her daughter, David assists at the voluntary animal clinic, which helps to destroy unwanted dogs. Once when Petrus is away, they are attacked by three robbers and Lucy is raped. And as a result of rape, she becomes pregnant, which brings disgrace for them. Then David feels himself guilty for the affair with his student and approaches her family for forgiveness. Lucy makes arrangements with Petrus, in return for his alliance and protection, to escape from the badmouthing of society. David agrees with her decision and he continues his clinic job.
