Plot : Diary of a Nymphomaniac, a drama directed by Christian Molina, is about a middle-class French woman whose sexual adventures lead her into prostitution, and how she is finally redeemed. Val (Belen Fabra), a young woman of 28, is attractive, well educated and well off. However she has a voracious hunger for sex combined with a gigantic intensity of erotic inquisitiveness. Her desires lead her sleep with anyone she wants, anytime she wants to. As she spends her days hunting for new encounters to satisfy her never-ending sexual interest and longing, Val beds innumerable lovers and makes copulation the focus of her world. Thus she turns sex into a lifestyle, and finally builds a career in prostitution, with the hope of ultimately being able to find true love. As Val continues to lead the complex life of a nymphomaniac, she comes to gain an excessive experience in both sex as well as love. The movie also stars legendary actress Geraldine Chaplin, in the supporting role of Abuela.
