Plot : City of Life and Death is a film, which brings into light, everything which is unknown to many, about the battle of Namjing. The movie shows how the Japanese troops entered the Chinese territory in large numbers and unleashed their reign of terror on the Chinese. Not only did they capture the soldiers of China, they also put to death, the innocent civilians, who posed no threat to them at all. Amidst this violent tale of bloodshed, there is a group of people, which aims to rescue their fellow Chinese inhabitants. While the Japanese were not ready to spare even those, who wanted to run away from this land, this group left no stone unturned to accomplish its motive. Women and children in the Chinese territory were also subject to tortures by the Japanese soldiers, who mercilessly victimised everyone whom they came across. When the group of revolutionaries went to the extent of attacking the Japanese soldiers, unfortunately they were outnumbered and almost all of them eventually got killed. All their efforts went in vein as their death also spelled doom for those, whom they wanted to rescue. The movie also has elements of romance in its storyline, which makes it completely different from other war films. Watch City of Life and Death online to catch a twisted tale of romance, which is presented in the most unfavourable circumstances. The movie has sequences showing a woman giving more importance to her appearance than her life, which manage to induce humour in the movie. One fact that City of Life and Death highlights remarkably is that even though war is momentary, what it does to the victims has long-lasting effects.
