The film takes you back in time to the year 1972, as Mickey and his dystrophy-suffering brother, Roger, steal their mother’s car to reach Pittsburgh, to see Clemente’s legendary 3000th hit. Having shifted to Los Angeles from Pittsburgh for better treatment of Roger, the siblings are not really happy. They miss their grandfather as much as they miss their beloved city. They try to settle into their new surroundings, as they watch the struggles of their single mother, Laurena. The film hits the right spots, with erratic characters coming together for a nation’s favorite pass time.
