Plot : Casi Divas, a musical comedy flick directed by Issa López, trails the escapades of four aspiring actresses who struggle for a desirable part in a movie. When hotshot producer Alejandro Mateos (Julio Bracho) initiates a national talent search to find his dream actress for his latest movie, four ambitious and beautiful young women, from different parts of Mexico, are caught up in the frenzy. Like hundreds of other hopeful women, the four women find themselves strongly competition against one another. Even the rumor that the producer's girlfriend, Eva Gallardo (Patricia Llaca), a diva of impressive magnitude, will ultimately get the part by default, does not stop the four women form jumping into the competition. The news of the competition takes Eva by surprise and while she schemes to get the part, the four young ladies commence their own journey on the path to fame and success. Soon these four women, who initially met each other as fierce competitors, realize that they can achieve much greater success by sticking together.
