Plot : Budrus is an inspiring story of a man and his daughter, and how they protect their home and the ones around them in Budrus, from the Israeli-Palestenian border separation. Budrus is a small village, composed of around 1500 inhabitants. Given the political unrest in Israel, it is decided that fencing will be done to make a divide between the two nations. However, this doesn’t go down well with the locals in the village. One man out of the many villagers called Ayad Morrar, takes an initiative to unite the three political groups, that is - the Fatahs, the Hamas and the Popular Front. The proposed barrier would run through a backyard, and olive tree field and a cemetery. It posed the danger of a lot of trees being cut and unnecessary breach of normalcy in the neighborhood. Guided by the same purpose, Ayad Morrar conducts rallies and adopts a non-violent approach to express the popular displeasure with the decision regarding the partition. The agitation soon takes the shape of a peaceful revolution, and gains international attention. This flusters the Israeli army high commission, which gives orders to their soldiers to use any means or forces necessary to dampen the discordant voices. There is ruthless open firing, bombings and violence on the streets of Budrus. Many innocent lives are lost. The movement gains immense momentum when Morrar’s fifteen-year-old daughter creates a clan of Israeli ladies, and inspires them to get out of the closet and express their opinions about the political system.
