Plot : Broken Flowers is a comedy movie that works at explaining the importance of relations in our lives. The movie centers at a successful old businessman Don Johnston who believes in remaining single in life. One day his latest girlfriend Sherry leaves him and he becomes single again. Soon after she leaves he receives an anonymous pink letter saying that he has a 19 year old son who might be looking for him. Desperate to find his son, he must reflect his past to identify his son. He approaches his neighbor and best friend Winston who is a detective. Winston makes a list of all the Don’s former girlfriends and plans a cross-country trip to meet all of them personally. Initially Don appears reluctant but realizing the need to locate his son, he agrees. Holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand, he and Winston initiate the trip. They meet all four of his previous link-ups which proves to be a self-realizing experience for him. Ultimately he has to confront the truth that his past had been lost forever. Thus he returns to his home a completely changed man without solving the mystery.
