Plot : Bran Nue Dae is the story of Willie, who is shown besotted with a girl. But due to certain circumstances, he loses her, and his mother sends him to a school to complete his studies for priesthood. While there, one day he steals food and runs out to save himself from the punishment. On the streets, he meets uncle ‘Tadpole’, who promises to take him to his native village. They hitchhike and meet many interesting people on the road. One of them is ‘Slippery’, who decides to take them to their village no matter what. From there on begins a surprising turn of events. From stealing food to indulging in fights, to ending up being locked in jail, the trio goes through a lot. On the other hand, the father of the school, where Willie was studying, resolves to find out Willie and bring him back, as he had recognized the potential in him. Finally, the trio reaches the village. There Willie sees his girl with another man. Thereafter, an atmosphere of fight builds up, but somehow the things remain calm. Then Willie confesses his love to the girl and they kiss. Later, Willie’s mother reveals that she had another son to Father Benedictus (the head of the school). It turns out that this son is Slippery and that Willie is actually Tadpole’s son.
