Plot : Big Man Japan is sci-fi based comedy, directed by Hitoshi Matsumoto, about a giant from Japan who keeps up his family’s long tradition of confronting the most dreadful monsters of Tokyo. Daisato (Hitoshi Matsumoto) comes across as an average, slightly unkempt, office going person who is unremarkable in every respect, except that he comes from a family that has for generation used its ability to transform into massive superhumans to fend off a gigantic monsters who wants to destroy Tokyo. Although, at one time his ancestors were showered with great respect for their efforts to help the public, but now sadly the concept of giant warriors has become a matter of joke with the public who feel irritated by the noise and the mess created by Daisato’s fights. As Daisato tries to handle the responsibilities he has towards his ex-wife, his daughter, his agent, and his senile grandfather, he finds it increasingly difficult to carry the crushing weight of both his personal and professional commitments.
