Plot : Being Flynn is heart wrenching tale of a writer who is struggling against all odds to become one of the finest writers in the literary universe. This film also brings forth one more aspect of the writer’s life; it is string of relationship between a parent and a child. Nick Flynn is the writer who is in living in the big metropolitan city with a sole aim to fine tune his writing career. Becoming a writer demands a lot from a person and Nick is ready to give all that. Life of this young writer has been filled with unforeseen obstacles and back breaking challenges. He misses his dear mother like anything and he is wat he is because of his compassionate mother. He doesn’t remember his father Jonathan at all. For almost 18 years Nick has no contact with his father Jonathan whatsoever. Like father like son, they both are writers but the father has somewhat achieved a lot in his life. He is an accomplished writer and without a doubt, he is known in the writing industry for his prose and literary work. Jonathan has proved time and again that he is good at what he does but due to his constant rendezvous with alcohol he has hit rock bottom now. Jonathan is practically the nadir of his career and of course lost his family members. One fine day Jonathan lands up at his son’s apartment and he is surprised to see his dad again at the door. The father has become very irresponsible and has even served jail term on the account of petty crimes. He worked as a cab driver soon loses the job thanks to his habit of drinking.
