Plot: Be Kind Reward is a sci-fi based comedy drama, directed by Michel Gondry, about two friends who try to recreate some of the top renting movies. Mike (Mos Def) works at the Be Kind Rewind video store which is owned by Mr. Fletcher (Danny Glover). Jerry (Jack Black), Mike’s best friend, works in an auto garage adjoining a local power plant and is paranoid about the ill effects of the power plant on his health. So one day, Jerry, tries to sabotage the plant but ends up getting his brain magnetized. Later, when he visits Mike at the video store, he inadvertently erases every videotape with the powerful magnetic rays radiating from his brain. To ensure that Be Kind Rewind continues to be in the good books of its clients, Mike and Jerry then decide to remake every film that has been destroyed. But, whether Jerry and Mike are able to remake the classics, and save the store from being closed down, remains to be seen.
