Plot : Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans is an apparently black comedy starring Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes. The movie is believed to be a remake of 1992 Albel Ferrara hit film. The story is about a crook and fearless drug addled cop who misuses his powers to steal drugs and have sex with women as a bribe. Terence McDonagh (Nicolas Cage) was initially a committed homicide detective with New Orleans Police Department. He saves a prisoner from drowning in the after-math of Hurricane Katrina and in doing so hurts his back badly. He is prescribed vicodin and promoted to the post of Lieutenant.About a year later Terence finds himself addicted to drugs and sex. He turns a fiery and funny powerful cop who can do any thing for sex and drugs. His girlfriend is prostitute Frankie (Eva Mendes). He has to bring down a drug dealer named Big Fate who is a suspect of killing the entire five member family of African Immigrants. Terence’s drug habits lead him to form an alliance with the king-pin though he was to investigate the case against him. Next to come is a path full of twists and turns.
