Plot : “An Education” is an awe-inspiring romantic drama directed by Lone Scherfig. The story chronicles events in life of a 16 year old girl named Jenny (played by Carey Mulligan), who is a school going girl. One day a handsome old man, David Goldman (played by Peter Sarsgaard) drops her home. This initiates a relationship between the two. After this, David often takes Jenny to his concerts and jazz clubs. Slowly bur surely Jenny starts knowing about the lifestyle and business of his partner. Soon she gets to know that David makes money in an illegal way. But she is somadly in love with David that she decides to overlook his negative side. After that, David asks her permission for marriage and with the approval of Jenny’s father, he gets engaged with Jenny. After their engagement, one day Jenny finds some letters in the cupboard. These letters were addressed to Mr. and Mrs. David. Then Jenny asks her beau to accept the truth about his previous marriage in the presence of her parents, but David refuses to do so and leaves her.
