Plot : Adam, a romantic comedy drama flick directed by Max Mayer, is about a lonely man suffereing from a developmental disorder, who builds up a relationship with his neighbor who lives upstairs. Adam Raki (Hugh Dancy) is an electronics engineer who suffers from the Asperger's Syndrome. Soon a young woman named Beth (Rose Byrne), who is a brainy and beautiful writer and has been deeply hurt by a past relationship, moves into his apartment building. She has a chance encounter with Adam who is quite taken with her. Beth finds Adam to be a handsome but odd guy and is confused by his awkwardness. Beth is not sure about how she should react to Adam's unusual advances, but even so she decides to give him a chance. Soon Beth and Adam's ultimate bond leads to a complicated relationship. But Beth’s parents are anxious about their daughter's new relationship which might put a stop to the budding relationship of the young lovers’ even before it has a chance to grow.
