Plot : A Prophet is a criminal drama directed by Jacques Audiard. The story revolves around a young man Malik El Djebena (Tahar Rahim). He is all alone and doesn’t have anybody in relation with him, in the entire world. He is illiterate and don’t know how to read and write. Then he is sentenced for six years imprisonment. In jail, he gets under the strong influence of Corsican Mafia group. The leader of the group is César Luciani (Niels Arestrup). He used to take every prisoner under his control and enforces his own rules upon everyone. He selects Malik to commit the cold blooded murder of Reyeb (Hichem Yacoubi). Malik follows his order and gets off completely free with the luciani’s knowledge of prison’s internal workings. A Prophet video depicts the journey of an illiterate man who not only determines to read but even learn all ins and outs of mafia business. As depicted in A Prophet trailer, Luciani make the arrangement of short leaves for Malik, in order to accomplish his own missions, but Malik uses this for his own benefit. And everything turns more interesting near the end.
