Plot : The Proper Violence is a straight-laced, no nonsense and no-frills movie that take the viewers right into the story of an ex-criminal on the mend. This movie takes up the cudgels on behalf of many reformed criminals, who were forced to return back to their bad ways by the severity of the sins committed in their past. It brings up the age old question whether a man can change, or, is it that the sins of man weigh him down and prevent him from changing! It is said that one can take a criminal out of crime, but crime can never be taken out of the criminal. One such story belongs to a man named Morgan Edwards, an ex-con who has just been released. On being released, Morgan realizes that the seemingly effortless task of rejoining the society he was ostracized from is much harder than what it seemed. Unable to make any sort of headway with the second lease of life, Morgan comes across Shepard, Rich and Dustyn and that’s where it all begins. The three of them invite Morgan for a camping trip, to which he immediately agrees. What Morgan doesn’t know is that the three men posing as his friends are actually looking to extract revenge for a crime Morgan had committed in the past. The movie challenges the clichéd and the regular definition of a villain, by forcing viewers to choose between Morgan and the three men.
