Plot : Every celebrity yearns for a role, which will establish him as a legend whose examples will be given in the world of acting. Jefferson Steel, the forgotten iron man of Hollywood, is looking for the same thing in A Bunch of Amateurs. After his last films flunked the test of audience, Steel is sniffing for a role, which will make him enter the big league again. Determined to make Steel, once again, the shining star of the cinema world, his manager get his hands on a role that he thinks will surely turn around his client’s dwindling career. The role is of King Lear in Stanford, England. Jumping at the opportunity, Steel packs his bags and sets off to England to bring back his glorious days. But on arrival, he finds the scene totally different from what he assumed. It is not the Stanford-upon-Avon, but a settlement with the name Stanford St John at a place named Suffolk. Now that all he had wished for has vanished in the thin air, he becomes ready to pull off the deal. Steel finds his biggest fan in the head of the club, Imelda Staunton. The 96-minute tale unleashes a laughter riot when the not-so-sophisticated England meets the American star.
