Plot : “Year One” is a superb comedy about a hunter called Zed and a gatherer named Oh. Accidentally, Zed eats a fruit from the tree of knowledge. On learning this, Shaman and Marlak banish them from the tribe. At this, they both set out to discover the mysterious concept of world. On their way, they encounter Cain and Abel. Cain has killed Abel and escaped with other two to safeguard their lives. Accidentally, they get to know the fact that two girls from their tribe have been captured as slaves. Then, all of them set out to rescue them and Cain tends to sell his two companions. After getting saved from the slavery slot, they rush off to save other slaves. As they reach Sodom, they are captured and find that Cain has become a soldier there. They both get furious over him, but Cain asks for apology and offers them food. He makes them guards in Sodom and Zed is then called by princess Inanna to talk. Inside the palace, Zed happens to meet both the girls of their tribe. On other note, princess thinks Zed to be the chosen one and he enters the temple. At this, he is sentenced to stoning, to which Zed pleads for mercy. The king announces one of the two girls of Zed’s tribe to be sacrificed as gift to god. On hearing this, Zed comes in between and fights against the Sodom soldiers. He is helped by Oh and the other tribal girl. Finally, Zed sets out with Maya and Oh with Eema, separately; refusing the offer of ruling the palace and suggest Inanna to continue.
