In the year 1960 he traveled southwards leaving his suburban life as an estate and divorce lawyer to join the struggle of civil rights. What brought him to global picture was when he defended the Chicago 8 defying the law and fighting against racism. He defended those clients which no one would support like drug dealers and accused rapists and always proved himself right. He reached such heights in his career that he fought civil rights with Martin Luther King Jr. and he also had a number of other famous clients. The movie consists of a number of video snapshots from Kunstler’s life like when his two daughters asked him about his career and ideals. It also features interviews of his friends, rivals and clients.
