Plot : Based on the actual plot to overthrow Hitler and his government from the inside, during the height of World War II, Valkyrie is a war movie directed by Bryan Singer. Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise) has been a loyal soldier of the Reich, until he loses an eye, a hand and three fingers in a bombing by the allied forces, He then comes to realize the futility of the war and to end the destructive madness that his country is unleashing on the world, hatches a plot with the help of other high ranking officials to create a secret resistance force and assassinate Hitler. He risks not only his life but the lives of his family members to get the chance to change the course of history.
