Plot : Directed by Tony Scott, The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 is a thrilling crime drama which is a remake of the 1974 movie of the same name. Led by the criminal mastermind Ryder (John Travolta), a group of four heavily-armed men take control of a New York subway train and threaten to kill the commuters, unless they are paid the enormous payoff money of $1 million within one hour. The hijackers also warn that they will kill one passenger for each minute delay in paying the ransom, after the given time limit. The kidnapping creates chaos in a normal working day of Walter Garber (Denzel Washington), a New York City subway dispatcher. Walter uses his extensive knowledge of the city’s subway system, as he attempts to trounce Ryder and save the hostages. However, Walter is unable to sort out the riddle about the possible escape route of the hijackers, even if the ransom is paid within the given time!!
