Plot : Directed by Steven Soderbergh, The Informant is a thrilling comedy crime drama about an employee at agriculture-industry giant, turning into a witness against his employer. As Mark Whitacre (Matt Damon), exposes the multi-national price-fixing conspiracy of his company, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), to the FBI, he fantasizes himself to be a hero of the common man and deserving to be handed a promotion. Suffering from bipolar disorder he imagines himself to be some sort of secret agent and he even agrees to carry a tape recorder to the office to get solid evidence for the FBI. But the FBI agents get frustrated with the ever changing accounts of Mark and they find it difficult to differentiate between reality and what Mark has cooked up with his rambling imagination.
