Plot : The End of the Line is a documentary, directed by Rupert Murray about the looming danger on the world’s oceans. The ever increasing demand for fish and other seafood has led to tremendous escalation in the output of fishermen across the globe. Technological advances in the methods of harvesting seafood, has also enhanced this growth. However, fulfilling the current demand for fish in addition to the methods applied are proving disastrous as many environmentalists and oceanographers have stated that given the current rate at which fish are harvested, the water bodies across the globe might become deprived of fish by as early as 2048. The documentary presents the views of experts about the fundamental cause behind the alarming shortage including increased demand for rare species, careless means engaged by major fishing lines, sloppy enforcement of existing rules. In addition, it also tries to find out how this impending famine can be avoided before it's too late!!
