Plot : Adapted from Amanda Foremans best-selling novel The Duchess is directed by Saul Dibb. Georgiana Spencer (Keira Knightley) learns soon after marrying the Duke of Devonshire (Ralph Fiennes), that she is trapped in a loveless marriage in which her only role is to bear a male heir. After giving birth to two daughters and going through numerous miscarriages, Georgiana finally gives birth to a son after many years. However, now her marriage has been reduced to shreds and the last cord is broken when she learns about the affair of her husband with her best friend Bess Foster (Hayley Atwell). She however, starts a new life by becoming not only the fashion icon of era but also getting actively involved in politics.
