Plot : Directed by Roger Donaldson, The Bank Job is based on an actual unsolved bank robbery committed in 1971, in London. Terry Leather (Jason Statham), a London car dealer and a petty criminal in his earlier life, agrees to his neighbor, Martine Loves (Saffron Burrows) foolproof plan of robbing a bank. Even though the crime involves a great deal of risk, Terry takes up the challenge feeling it to be the opportunity of a lifetime. As the plan goes underway, the robbers hit a treasure trove of cash and priceless gems. But unknown to them the safe-deposit boxes also contains dirty secrets that threaten many a powerful personages and will push them into a lethal web of corruption and senseless scandal.
