Plot : The Accidental Husband is a romantic comedy directed by Griffin Dunne. The story revolves around Dr. Emma Lloyd (Uma Thurman) who works as a radio talk-show host and advises her listeners about repairing damaged relationships. She has a loving relationship with her fiancée Richard (Colin Firth) whom she is to marry soon. Her life turns into a chaos when one of her listeners Sophia (Justina Machado), breaks up with her fiancée heeding the advice of Dr. Lloyd. The enraged and jilted lover, Patrick Sullivan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) decides to take revenge on the misguided love doctor. To do so he seeks the help of his computer savvy neighbor who ends up getting Emma and Patrick accidentally married.
