Plot : Still Walking is a family drama directed by Hirokazu Koreeda. This movie sheds light on a house, where after the death of the eldest son of the family, a reunion is held. Yokoyama family lost their eldest son Junpei, fifteen years ago in a tragic accident. To memorialize his death and to perform some ceremonies, all of the members with their respective families, have to be gathered in the old home. Mother Toshiko and retired doctor father Kyohei are the only people left in that house. On the reunion day, they are joined by their daughter Chinami and son Ryota. The decades old house has not been changed, even a bit. It is as relaxing and comforting, as it used to be but the same can’t be said about rest of the members, as they have been finely changed in the last few years. After they all get congregated in the house, a lot of things happen, as they get to share past memories, sad memories, and feelings of nostalgia, tension and sorrow, while performing the required ceremonies.
