Plot : Speed Racer is a sports action packed family drama about Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch), who is born natural when it comes to driving racing cars. Speed is the youngest son of Pops Racer (John Goodman) who developed a custom-made, gadget-loaded car called Mach 5 and is the younger brother of legendary Rex Racer, who died many years ago in a heated cross-country rally known as The Crucible. When Speed comes to learn that Royalton (Roger Allam) influences the outcome of many car races by manipulating the drivers, to better their profits, his life comes under threat. He needs the support of not only his family and longtime girlfriend, Trixie (Christina Ricci) but also his arch rival and the mysterious Racer X (Matthew Fox) to win the race that killed his brother.
