Plot : Directed by Danny Boyle, the Slumdog Millionaire turned out to be one of the biggest surprise hits of 2008. Jamal K. Malik (Dev Patel) a teenage boy from the slums of India, gets a chance to play in the Indian version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Jamal answers question after question correctly and comes close to winning the game hosted by Prem Kumar (Anil Kapoor) and in turn 20 million rupees. However, as the show breaks for the night, he is picked by a police inspector (Irfaan Khan) who suspects Jamal of cheating. To prove his innocence, Jamal narrates the events of his life including his love for Latika (Frieda Pinto) and reveals that the answers to the questions are hidden in the facts of his life.
