Plot :  Sleepwalking, a drama flick directed by Bill Maher, is the story of an 11-year-old girl’s struggle to cope up with the reality of her mother having deserted her. Joleen (Charlize Theron), instead of providing a stable and secure life to her daughter Tara (AnnaSophia Robb), vanishes after placing her daughter in foster care, when her boyfriend is arrested for growing marijuana. Even though Joleen’s brother, James (Nick Stahl) is not exactly stable, his concern for Tara makes him feel duty-bound to help his niece and hence after helping Tara escape from foster care, he sets out with her and soon reaches the farm of his father. Although James has always avoided thoughts of his violent childhood, he has to confront the demons of his past to be able to sever the cruel cycle of dysfunction that engulfs his family. As Tara realizes the reasons behind her mother’s tumultuous living, James prepares for the conflict that can either destroy his family or bring them closer than ever.
