Plot : Shorts, a family drama directed by Robert Rodriguez tells the tale of a young boy who finds a rainbow-colored rock that has the power to grant the wishes of its holder. 11-year-old Toe Thompson lives with his family in Black Falls where all the houses look exactly the same and all the people work for Black Box Unlimited Worldwide Industries Incorporated. However, Toe is only concerned about making some new friends and his wish is fulfilled when a mysterious rainbow-colored rock falls right out of the sky and hits him. Toe soon learns that the rock can grant wishes. The rock is used by the local kids to get their wishes fulfilled and Black Falls is suddenly flooded by different oddities that the kids can imagine. But the real trouble starts when the rock falls into the hands of the grown ups. Now it’s up to Toe and his buddies to save the townspeople from themselves by making them realize that everything they wish for might not be beneficial.
