Plot : Recount, a historical drama directed by Jay Roach, chronicles the weeks after the U.S. presidential elections of 2000 and the ensuing descriptions in Florida. While the highest office in the US awaits its new occupant, the destiny of the free world may be hanging in the balance. As the preliminary scores from voting polls in Florida turn out to be indecisive, the verdict for a recount becomes unavoidable. But the decision is marred by controversy, convincing many doubtful voters of unfair play. Finally, when the case goes on trial in the Supreme Court, the charming republican from Texas, James Baker (Tom Wilkinson), tries to garner public support in favor of the recount. But democratic candidate Al Gore's former chief of staff, Ron Klain (Kevin Spacey), unwilling to take it quietly, is all set to play hardball with the veterans in the game of politics. Even as the two conflicting giants fight about the fate of presidency they reluctantly start developing a feeling of respect for one another.
