Plot : Pressure Cooker is a documentary directed by Mark Becker and Jennifer Grausman that emphasizes on two semesters in the culinary arts class of an impudent high school teacher. Frankford High School, might not nurture the world's next great cookery genius, but the documentary tries to explore why that perception might not be so unbelievable after all. Focusing on three seniors of the high school, who, have experienced the complications of financial misery, broken homes, and abusive pasts, the documentary highlights how they discover an unlikely supporter in Wilma Stephenson, their culinary arts teacher. Stephenson’s students are taught in a no-holds-barred style and they soon find her to be their best friend. Her kitchen is not a place for weaklings but only those who can take the heat. With the citywide cooking competition for scholarships to the country's top culinary schools just round the corner, the three students have to ignore all high school distractions including school dances and football games, to get a chance of fulfilling their dreams.
