Plot : Phoebe in Wonderland is the story of a young girl whose struggle to follow the rules makes her turn to her drama teacher for guidance. Phoebe (Elle Fanning), a talented but rebellious young girl, dreams of participating in the school production of Alice in Wonderland. Her brilliant but anguished mother Hillary (Felicity Huffman) is an aspiring academic who feels that she has failed in her personal and professional life. The only person having no doubts about her talent and capacity for learning is Phoebe’s gifted drama teacher Miss Dodger (Patricia Clarkson). As Phoebe’s conflict with a rule obsessed world grows with each passing day it is up to Miss Dodger and Hillary to prevent a promising student from slipping further away from reality.
