Plot : Outrage is a documentary, directed by Kirby Dick, which denounces the sly politicians who promote the anti-gay legislation in America. The film brings to light the duplicity of these politicians, who aggressively campaign against the gay community even though they themselves are a part of the same community, albeit secretly. The film takes a bold step in revealing the truth of the dual lives that some of the most powerful policymakers in United States, live. It also tells about the harm, these people have caused to millions of Americans besides scrutinizing the media's involvement in sustaining their secrets. The film showcases the interviews of well-known members of the gay community including Congressman Barney Frank, former NJ Governor Jim McGreevey, activist Larry Kramer, radio personality Michelangelo Signorile, and openly gay congresswoman Tammy Baldwin to look deeply into the complexities of living this double lifestyle, besides depicting the double standards of the media that is fanatical about using the sex lives of gay public figures, for getting publicity.
