Plot : New in Town is a romantic comedy directed by Jonas Elmer, about a Miami businesswoman who adjusts to her new life in a small town in Minnesota. Lucy Hill (Renée Zellweger) is a high-powered consultant in love with her upscale Miami lifestyle. She is sent to a small town in Minnesota, to oversee the restructuring of a manufacturing plant. Lucy endures the icy roads and the freezing weather, only to get a frosty reception from the locals. But soon Lucy finds herself settling in and falling for the town’s charm as the locals also start accepting her into their small community. But the happiness is short lived, as Lucy receives the orders to close the plant which will result in the entire community losing their jobs. As Lucy does some introspection, she finds a way to save the town.
