The movie chronicles the life of Brad McCullum who begins to realize some perplexing events in his life and unintentionally he is led to brutally slay his mother with an antique sword. He was at that time a graduate student at UCSD. He goes under trial but finds innocent due her mental illness. He spends several years at a hospital before his release.
