Plot : Directed by Donald Petrie, My Life in Ruins is a comedy flick which tells the story of a travel guide who rediscovers the romantic aspect of her personality while on a trip around Greece. Georgia (Nia Vardalos), a Greek American tour guide, had come to Greece pursuing a man. However after having been left alone and wandering in a foreign land she uses her passion for history to get her current job. When the regular driver is replaced by the reserved Poupi (Alexis Georgoulis), Georgia takes her luck to be at the lowest point. But gratefully her latest group of tourists is livelier than her expectations. As she keeps colliding with the rival tour guide Nico (Alistair McGowan), Georgia bonds with Irv (Richard Dreyfuss), a widower who misses his wife terribly but still keeps a cheerful face. Irv also helps Georgia to realize that she might not be far from finding true love but for that she has to bring back her enthusiasm and keep her eyes open.
